Peace Like A River

Created the wonderful music of the Chancel Choir of the First Unitarian Church of Oakland, CA, which you can purchase at CD BABY https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/chancelchoir

I created this small video.  All the pictures were taken by me or my family — except for the raindrops and the rain on the little green plant — which I purchased from 123RF.

It seems like a good time to refresh and renew ourselves in small ways.    My plan is to find as many digital and etheric ways of staying in touch with people and keeping people in touch with one another. The technical curve is a little steep — but from what I can see it bends toward connection. (that’s a little Unitarian Universalist joke — based upon the words of the 19th century Unitarian preacher the Rev. Theodore Parker. He said in  a sermon entitled “Justice and the Conscience,” (1853) “I do not pretend to understand the moral universe, the arc is a long one, my eye reaches but little ways. I cannot calculate the curve and complete the figure by the experience of sight; I can divine it by conscience. But from what I see I am sure it bends towards justice.”) A long aside.

My hope is that, as people ‘dodge’ the virus at home, they substitute vegging out on Netflix by themselves and find meaningful ways to connect through facebook, Skype, Zoom, 8×8 —  or any one of the many platforms out ‘there.’

With all the deluge of news I encourage all of us to find nourishment for our  hearts/minds/souls. Thus, I  crafted this video for meditation and  relaxation.

Take time to breathe, remember that this too shall pass, tune in so you are not alone, take care of yourself with rest, meditation, healthy food, comfort, and asking for help when you need it.
